Golden Horn’s K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing reliable and loving rescues, foster placement, and transports for the stray and medically neglected dogs of San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas.

Saving Strays One Tail at a Time...

Since 1987, Kaz Sephton, the founder of Golden Horn’s K9 rescue has pulled hundreds of homeless dogs (and the occasional cat) from the streets in San Antonio, Texas. As San Antonio has a serious problem with homeless animals, due to no mandatory spay/neuter laws, we must pick up the slack to get these dogs off the roads and away from danger! We are proudly committed to providing empathetic and humane care for all dogs to give them the best chance at the great life they deserve!

Rescue

Golden Horn’s K9 Rescue provides pick-ups, full vettings, dog boarding, and foster home placement. No matter where our rescues end up, they receive daily exercise, outdoor time, love, attention, and one-on-one medical care.We cannot do this without your financial backing.

Foster

Since Golden Horn’s K9 rescue has limited foster space on-premise, we are fortunate to partner with a number of reliable foster volunteers and boarding services for our dogs.

These services become costly, when a dog is in long term foster care.

Transport

We offer local and long-distance transport for our dogs to organizations that can properly rehome or adopt dogs.

Golden Horn’s K9 rescue is committed to getting dogs to safe locations that provide better options for fur-ever homes, out of San Antonio where there are simply not enough homes for them all! Transport is another costly expense
